In the course of our lives we sometimes get to the point of thinking over the reasons of things that happen to us, the tasks we have to fulfil, and the directions we have to follow. Many people think that life is a chain of coincident lucky or unlucky events. But in fact in the Universe is not ruled by some random coincidences, but by a law that defines every single aspect of live. Those who realise and accept the nature of this law have the chance of a predictable, controlled life, whereas the others remain rather defenceless and passive participants of the system.
If we do not understand the coherence among the events of our lives, we will not be able to control them. Blaming others or the circumstances cannot be the way out our problems either. Suffering from these many people look for their ways in different religions and philosophies that give explanations and descriptions of the law that runs life. Many of these descriptions and teachings provide real help, but only after turning the simple belief in them into real knowledge and conviction by experiencing their truth. Once you are convinced, your view on everyday events, your everyday practice will change. If belief does not turn into knowledge, there is no real base for your ideas. Thus the steps to recognition and revelation are as follows: belief, getting convinced, getting the knowledge and putting all these into practice.
Belief starts with being open to the simple teaching that is called by many philosophies as the law of the “karma”. According to this we are responsible for the run of our lives, because everything we do or think hits back on us as a boomerang. All our deeds and thoughts have imprints that modify our further lives. If people act properly, the results of these deeds will be good to them, if not, the bad results get back to them to teach them not to act the same way next time.
All in all we are responsible for all the events and the outcome of our lives, we are writing the book of our fate. We have to feel the responsibility for everything we do or even think. If we accept this, and have a closer look at our lives from this point of view, we will get convinced by the truth of it, and by this knowledge we gain an incredible possibility.
We gain the possibility of finding certainty in an uncertain world in all respects, even in the tiniest segments of our lives. We will get the chance of recognise our mistakes and correct them, because we will be able to see that the attitudes of the surrounding people towards us, the outcome of our fate, our illnesses are all parts of a system, and this system is under our control. |
